Emma is a center out square shawl worked in the round with a knit on border featuring traditional Shetland lace motifs. Its modern constructions works well with gradient colors. The original shawl was knit in handspun Leicester Longwool to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the breed being reintroduced to North America. The fleece used was the 2014 blue ribbon Leicester Longwool. It was a ribbon winner at the 2015 Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival where is was prominently displayed at n the front wall of the skein and garment competition. The pattern is charted and features lace motifs with patterning every other row and every row.
