EMMELINE is a great two-evening or weekend-day project!

A dramatic scarf with elements suggestive of the flame-singed feathers of the mythical phoenix during their storied regeneration into newly glorious blaze-fed plumes, this design offers the knitter an intriguing single-strand (no-cut) method for subtle entrelac-like textured patterning without the significant effort required by the original technique. Scarf is knit flat (in one piece).

The vivid, intense appearance is further enhanced by its pairing with a striking scarf pendant such as the Phoenix slide (also pictured).

This impressive piece is a great project to knit, and row-by-row narrative instructions are provided.
