Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silver; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings.
So was Eowyn, the White Lady of Rohan, first described in The Two Towers, and it was from this that I drew the pattern for this bag. I tried to convey by my knitting the idea given in her description, using white yarn and a feminine but not girly pattern.
