Equal is a top-down sock with a simple colourwork motif. It has an easy short row heel and comes in three sizes.

It’s the ideal partner for Townhouse Yarns’ “Saoirse” rainbow mini-skeins, but it’ll also provide a perfect home for the tiniest amounts of sockyarn. Each pair uses a tiny 2.25g of each contrast colour, which is about 5.5m!

A single contrast colour would be splendid too (pink/red and blue/green combinations would work beautifully). There’s so many possibilities for customising these socks, and all of them will be lovely.

Equal isn’t a doctrinaire sock. If top-down isn’t your sock construction of choice, then the chart will work for toe-up as well. The short row heel can be easily replaced with any other heel and any toe will work too. Your choice!
