(Eric) Man-Beanie and (Eric) Man-Stocking Cap
This pattern is knit with two strands of worsted weight yarn held together or one strand of bulky weight yarn.
I used two strands of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes once, two strands of Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool once, and one strand of Caron’s Pound of Yarn and a strand of Wool of the Andes together another time. All look great!
This pattern has no gauge because a little smaller or a little bigger doesn’t matter! This hat knits up so fast that after a couple rounds you can see the size of the hat clearly.
11/21/09 EDIT: If you are having trouble with this hat being too small, the stitch pattern is a 5 stitch repeat, so adding stitches in multiples of 5 – CO 55 sts, CO 60 sts – would make it bigger and preserve the stitch pattern.
