The Erica tee is a tunic-length tee that can be worn as casually over leggings or tucked into shorts or jeans as it can be dressed up and accessorized for work or a special night out. This will become a summer favorite thanks to its versatility! The lace pattern adds a delicate feminine detail along with cap sleeves that gently drape over the shoulders. While this was originally designed to be a summer garment, some knitters have suggested knitting it in alpaca or mohair and worn as a vest in cooler weather!

To FIT BUST SIZES:
30 (34, 38, 42) {46, 50, 54} in – 76 (86 ½, 96 ½, 106 ½ ) {117, 127, 137} cm

Finished Bust circumference up to the armhole, after blocking:
32 (36, 40, 44) {48, 52, 56} in – 81½ (91½, 101½, 112) {122, 132, 142½} cm

Finished Upper Body width, from one edge of the “sleeve” to the other, after blocking:
18 (20, 22, 24) {26.25, 28, 30.25} in – 46 (51, 56, 61) {66.5, 71, 77} cm

All measurements and yarn requirements are approximate and may vary depending on your gauge, yarn used and any modifications that you may make to customize the pattern to fit your body’s desired size (incl. length).

The tee was designed with a relaxed fit in mind and is meant to be worn with approx. 2-3” (5-10cm) ease below the armhole, and approx. 6” ease in circumference above the underarm. This takes into account the extra fabric needed to drape over your shoulders.

Any yarn with good drape that meets gauge will work. Pattern provides instructions knitted flat and in the round. The front and back are knitted bottom up (lace pattern on the front only) and then knitted flat from the underarm up. Shoulders are shaped using German short-rows and are joined using 3-needle bind-off. Sides are seamed (if knitted in pieces). Armhole and neckline bands are added afterwards.

The tee uses a sport-weight yarn knitted on slightly larger needles to provide a drapey fabric but any yarn with linen, rayon, bamboo, silk or such that provides drape and meets gauge will work, incl. DK-weight.

Pattern includes lace chart, schematics and links to videos demonstrating various techniques used.
