Eriskay
From Fishermen’s Sweaters: The island of Eriskay, in the outer Hebrides, is the home of the most ornately patterned gansey in the British Isles. The traditional idea served as the basis for Eriskay. It proved to be a mathematical tour de force and was a joy to design.
Knitted Measurements:
- Underarm, excluding gussets: 41.25 (45.5, 49.5)”/103 (113.5, 124) cm
- Length: 24.75 (25.75, 26.75)”/62 (65, 67) cm
- Sleeve length: 18 (18.5, 19)”/ 46 (47, 48) cm
Additional Materials:
- US 1 (2.25 mm) & US 2 (2.75 mm) circular or double pointed needles

Special Note: The sweater is entirely patterned throughout. The stockinette stitch tension (gauge) swatch simply makes it easier to accurately measure the tension (gauge).
