Ériu is the third shawl in the Éire Collection.

Ériu is a crescent shaped shawl beginning from a garter stitch tab. Increases are worked on both right and wrong sides. She has a wonderful, soothing, repetitiveness achieved by the uncomplicated twisted cables that run like rivers down her length. They twist, turn, rise and fall in a mesmerising fashion down the length of her. In between these cables are fields of smooth, silky stockinette which have eyelets and beads dotted throughout them.

Ériu features a knitted on border of cables mixed with beads and eyelets. This border spreads its arms and hugs the shawl. The 900 beads throughout the design dance and shine, as the light catches her, and gives Ériu a lively and fun air.

Ériu is easily adaptable and this is explained in the pattern notes.

Pattern includes charts and full written instructions with bead placement shown clearly in both sets of directions. You may find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer though should you not have one you could always use a coloured pencil to mark your beaded stitches.
