The Erlenmeyer flask has a decreasing circumference from bottom to top. Cut off the straight chimney at the top and add a handle…voila! A mug! If you are fortunate enough to have an Erlenmeyer mug, you might be in need of a sweater to keep your beverage hot and to keep your hands safe. I designed this cozy to do just that!

Top it off with a natural bark cork stopper and adhere a cork coaster to the bottom for a more efficient thermal insulator.

Any bulky to super bulky weight yarn will do for this project. Use scraps, use naturals, use acrylics…experiment!

Enjoy!

Edit: Now that I have used it several times at work, I don’t really like the bow tie. It gets in the way of my fingers. I think a button would work better? It needs to close though because my knuckles get hot on the glass mug!
