This pattern is available from interweave.com for $4.00.

This sock pattern is one of five sock patterns available in the Spring 2011 issue of Sockupied, the new digital eMag from Interweave. These socks, whose name means “stairway” in Portuguese, feature a pattern that climbs across the foot and upward in a grid pattern. The sock is shown in both a solid yarn and multicolored yarn. Toe-up construction is paired with a flap-and-gusset heel, but you may prefer a short-row heel to keep the stitch count constant for a multicolored yarn.
