Dark, dreary days and nights call for something cozy - and a bit of sparkle. While jewels are great for livening up a chilly day, they don’t do much for keeping you warm. Esmeralda will. The lace on the sleeves, hem, and cowl is designed to create jewel-shaped panels (esmeralda is Spanish for “emerald”) which add interest without letting in too much of that bitter wind.

Pattern prerequisites - knit, purl, M1, YO ssk, k2tog, knit in the round, follow a chart, basic sweater techniques like “reverse shaping” and “at the same time”
