Estelle is a stunning wrap that looks elegant and refined, while being simple and easy to knit up. Featuring easy pattern repeats this wrap knits up super-fast and is a great knit for gifting to others.

This design suits variations in dyeing such as solid colours, variegation and gradients. You may choose to knit the body of the shawl in one colour and the edge in a complimentary or contrast colour.

This pattern is fully written with no charts, however it is very easy to memorise so you don’t have to keep referring back.

Finished size
This shawl is designed to be approximately 190cm/76” wide by 120cm/48” deep if knit to gauge and aggressively blocked out tightly. Shawl sizes will vary due to yarn used and how much you choose to stretch when blocking.

If desired, you can customise this by sizing up or down needles and by how much you stretch your work when blocking.

Construction
Estelle is started by casting on at the middle at the top and working down to create the width of the shawl. You will be increasing on every row of the body. The zig zag lace edging is then worked using short rows along the bottom edge.

Yarn requirements
Up to 200gm/400m of any 8ply/DK weight yarn. The sample pictured used 180gm/360m of yarn.

Gauge
Knit flat in garter stitch, 15 stitches by 30 rows before blocking.

This wrap is designed to be loose and flowing. While a gauge is listed it is just a guide, so please choose a needle size that gives you a fabric that you like.
