Star stitch is always a favorite, fun to make and gives a lovely texture that keeps out the fall and winter drafts. It is a one-sided stitch but the back side also has a nice look and texture. I found this particular version of a stitch in a vintage crochet book that I inherited from my great grandmother and modified it slightly. I always think of her while crocheting as she is the one who patiently taught me when I was very young. You will make a rectangle that is 22” x 5”, although size is not incredibly important depending upon the size you wish to make.
