Ettle is a cozy, textural, endless scarf showcasing an intricate, yet deceptively simple pattern stitch. “Ettle” was the nickname for my maternal grandmother, who at a young age traveled from Bella Russia to Ellis Island in NYC. Ettle was the only grandparent I ever knew. She lived with my family, baked each day for us and drank hot tea with jam. She taught me to crochet. We were bonded.
