This is a top-down, semi-circular shawl. An innovative, but easy, double-knit side edge is incorporated as you knit, so other than darning in ends, there is practically no finishing at all.

The rolling inner and outer edges symbolize the lives that touched my grandmother, Eulalia, and the lives that she touched. I think we are never truly finished with our life’s work, but we wouldn’t have a place to start, if it weren’t for those who came before us.
