Play ball! We couldn’t have a Charm City collection without an homage to the heart of Baltimore sports, the Orioles. Camden Yards’ main gate is on Eutaw Street, and I’ve spent many a night there, joining the throngs of fans in black and orange.
Knee high, as baseball socks should be, these socks feature offset ribbing at the cuff and garter stitch boot straps that run the length of the leg and travel down the foot. Worked from the cuff down, this is a great pattern for team colors, self-striping yarn or using up leftovers.

Finished measurements: 7 ½ (8, 8 ½, 9, 9 ½)”/19 (20, 21 ½, 23, 24) cm foot circumference; 10 ½ (11, 11 ½, 12, 12 ½)”/26 ½ (28, 29, 30 ½, 32) cm calf circumference, unstretched.
It is recommended that socks be worn with ¾ - 1” negative ease

Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rnds = 4”/10 cm in st st in the rnd, blocked

Yarn: Shalimar Yarns Breathless, 75% superwash merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk (420 yd/113 g): 1 skein each in Sand Dollar (MC), Ore (CC 1) and Mandarin (CC 2).
Or fingering weight yarn, approximately 300 (300, 350, 350, 400) yd/275 (275, 320, 320, 365) m of MC, 100 (100, 150, 150, 200) yd/90 (90, 140, 140, 180) m ea of 2 contrast colors.
