I loved the Evangeline Lace Hat so much that I wanted to make it into a bonnet as well because I love lacy bonnets!

This pattern has many options. There are two versions of the lace - one to be smooth on one side and textured on the other and is completely reversible. The other is to to be textured on both sides making it so both sides are identical. You can play with different yarn weights and needle sizes to get the look you desire as well.

My wonderful testers did amazing on their test projects. The pattern photo displayed was made by a very talented photographer Stephanie Viricki Photography - she has been knitting for a short while and had not used a pattern before until this test - she said the pattern was easy to follow and, as you can tell, she did a beautiful job! Don’t let your beginner status deter you from knitting this lace bonnet!
