Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Summer 2006: “A sparkly yarn and simple but effective details make a romantic and feminine top. Small, repeating six-stitch cables shape the midriff. Diminutive ruffles that surround the scooped neckline and finish the hem are picked up and worked after the front and back pieces have been sewn together. Delicate crocheted chains tipped with teardrop crystals draw in the neck and cap-sleeve edges.”

Finished Size: 35½ (40, 44½, 48½)“ bust circumference.

Yarn: Tahki Select Yarns Star (60% nylon, 40% polyester; 163 yd 149 m/20 g): #3 purple/silver multi, 11 balls. Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): straight and 24” circular (cir); Size 8 (5 mm): 24” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Size B/1 (2.25 mm) crochet book, cable needle (cm), tapestry needle, markers (m), 8 tear-drop beads for ends of ties (optional; beads shown available from www.mjtrim.com).

Additional Gauge: 30 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches on smaller needles in cable rib pattern with yarn doubled.

This pattern uses the Tahki Select Yarns Star DOUBLED for the body of the tee and SINGLE STRANDED for the sleeves.

Crochet is for sleeve ties - you can always make i-cord instead.
