Long have I desired to create this shawl for Arwen Evenstar…

The shawl is worked from one corner point across in ever-widening rows to the other side. The edging is made using a variation of the Star stitch (representing Elanor flowers) with Mallorn leaves as the final row. I used 2 colors for my models.

The pattern contains written instructions and is also fully charted.

Return to Cerin Amroth

The ships have sailed, they’ve passed away
With shriek of gull and salty spray
Into the West from Havens Grey
But here I chose to stay

To share a mortal life with you,
The bitter and the sweet
In Middle-Earth, and no regrets shall trouble me in sleep
With elanor like golden stars in flower at my feet.

So I return and climb the hill to where we pledged our vows,
Lothlórien, on Cerin Amroth, beneath the mallorn boughs.

I journey back into the past to find you in my dreams,
With mallorn leaves to make my bed beside the Silvan stream;
Let memories flood through my mind so no more I shall weep,
As I lay me down at last, for this final sleep.
