This cowl is worked in the round beginning with a provisional cast-on. The first interior hem is worked and then the exterior of the cowl, which is worked with a slip-stitch technique. The second interior hem and then the striped lining are then worked and the live stitches are then grafted together with the provisional cast-on edge.

If substituting yarns or colors, use colors of a similar value and hue for the background and choose 2 high-contrast colors for the “gobstoppers”. Choose a fingering weight yarn that knits to the same gauge. (This would be a fun way to use up scrappies too!). Yarns for this pattern are also available as a kit from The Yarn Guys - contact them via their website for inquiries.

Skills required: Knit/purl in the round, slipping stitches.

Inspired by the brightly colored candies from Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, the Everlasting Gobstopper Cowl features fun textural bumps in bright colors. The interior lining of the cowl features random-width stripes of the same colors.
