I was looking for a cabled baby hat to go with a cables and lace baby blanket that I made. I couldn’t find a pattern for what I envisioned in a worsted-weight yarn, so I came up with this one on my own. It’s nice and stretchy because of the cables.

GAUGE:
1 cable + reverse stockinette repeat = 1 3/8 inches
