From Inspired Cable Knits: In designing this sweater, I wanted to pay homage to the traditions of knitting. So I incorporated Fair Isle patterning along with the cables. Then I included a textured pattern made by simple knit and purl stitches - the foundations on which all knitting patterns are built. The cables I selected move gently and smoothly to reflect our desire to keep some kind of control over inevitable changes.
