Jill Draper’s Empire is magnificent. The colors are extraordinary and the hand and sproing (yes, sproing!) is perfect.
This sweater begins with an optional tubular cast on and moves into an openwork rib. The body is worked in stockinette and has some slightly curvy shaping. The neckline is a V with set in rib to accent it.
And there are POCKETS.
These pockets are fabric lined and there are several pictures to help with the stitching.

A turn onto Exit 19 from I-87 on your way up through beautiful NY State is one way to get to the Duchess County Fairgrounds.
The third week of October this is the site of the New York Sheep and Wool Festival, also know as Rhinebeck. This is my Rhinebeck Sweater for 2018!
