From Interweave Knits:

Knits reader Holly Webb of El Cerrito, California, sent us this unique bag for the Exploring Stripes project announced in the Winter 01/02 issue. Holly made the bag with koigu Merino leftover from a shawl project and copper-colored beads. Her inspiration came from an Arts and Crafts copper vessel she spotted on the Antiques Roadshow television program. The vessel was a cylinder with simple raised horizontal bands, and over time, the bands had remained burnished but the copper underneath had darkened.”

This pattern, from the Winter 02/03 IK, is not in the regular pattern lineup. You’ll find it on page 8 under News & Views.
