One of my favorite inspirations for a design is the yarn itself and this is a perfect example. I wanted something that showed off a variegated yarn and the fun pooling and flashing that can occur. Incorporating some cables and mesh helped change up the effect in the stockinette section. The seed stitch at the top and bottom shows what can happen when a yarn is mostly one color with small sections of other colors, making them really pop! The name of the design was also inspired by the yarn colorway that was used for the original, Tsunami. The pooling and flashing created a swirling and it became obvious to me, it is the Eye of the Storm!
