I “inherited” two small skeins of this (I believe) discontinued yarn from a family member of a co-worker. You know how it is when someone finds a box of yarn while moving out a house and says, “Oh, I know someone who knits!” The yarn reminded me of faded denim and it’s definitely from the old acrylic yarn era. Thankfully, it softened a little since washing.

This cowl is knit from the bottom up, beginning with a garter stitch border and a simple lace section that produces a scalloped edge. A plainer top section grows out of the lace, continuing the 2-stitch ribs set off by eyelets.

Additional eyelets are added before the garter stitch top border.
