This is the pattern for “Fair Isle Beret” knitted in the round, with stranded colour work, using a 40 cm circular needle and then changing to double pointed for the increases at the top.

The pattern requires Aran weight, sample is shown in Artesano Aran (50% alpaca, 50% wool),
Main colour: Laxford,
Contrast colour:Ash
You will need approx. 100m for main colour and 30m for contrast colour. This is one of my favourite yarn to work with, so soft and warm. It is a heavy weight Aran yarn, but any 10 ply yarn that knits to gauge will work perfectly.

This is a written pattern with chart for the main Fair Isle motif. The PDF is all on one page.
