The flap of the bag is a mini version of the Fair Isle triangle shawls.
This step by step instruction contains all techniques you will need to knit a Fair Isle shawl.
Apart from the clear description of each action you will also find links to very useful videos which enable you to see how it is done.

This pattern covers the following techniques:
• Continental knitting / Fair isle (two-handed method)
• Magic loop
• Invisible increasing
• Steek
• Cutting the steek/finishing the steek
• Seamless border (picking-up the right amount of stitches in the round, decreasing- increasing for the edges)
• Finishing off the seam (fasten off by knitting/tie off)

These techniques are also applicable to Norwegian sweaters/cardigans and all sorts of projects in which Fair Isle is used.
MATERIAL
• 150 grams Kauni Effect for the main colour (background) – sample – colour EZ
• 75 grams Kauni for the contrast colour (figure) – sample – colour AA

De klep van de tas is een mini versie van de driehoekige fair isle omslagdoeken.
De body van de tas bevat een aantal fair isle motieven waarmee je deze methode goed kunt oefenen.
Na het volgen van deze stap voor stap handleiding heb je alle techniek gebruikt die je nodig hebt om een Fair Isle omslagdoek te kunnen maken.
Behalve de duidelijke beschrijving van elke handeling die je moet opvolgen staan er ook linken naar handige video’s om alles terug te kijken.
Voor je met de tas begint is het belangrijk dat je continentaal breien beheerst. Een duidelijke videolink staat in het patroon

In dit patroon komen de volgende handelingen/ technieken aan bod:

• Continentaal breien/ Fair isle (dubbelhandige methode)
• Magic loop
• Onzichtbaar meerderen
• Knipbies
• Doorknippen/afwerken knipbies
• Naadloze afwerkrand (steken in juiste hoeveelheid rondom
opnemen, minderen - meerderen voor de hoeken)
• Naadafwerking: breiend vastzetten/afhechten

Deze technieken zijn ook in Noorse truien/vesten en alle ander projecten waarin Fair Isle voor komt toepasbaar.

Materiaal: Het voorbeeld is gemaakt met:
• 150 gram Kauni effect (kleur EZ) als hoofdkleur (achtergrond)
• 75 gram Kauni solids (kleur AA) als contrastkleur (motief)
