…………………………………………………………………………

This bonnet combines many of my favorite things. Newborn hats, Christmastime and Fair Isle knitting to name a few. I’ve always had an idea to create a basic bonnet which you could substitute color charts in and create many pretty two-color bonnets. Finally it has come to life! Included in this pattern is complete instructions to make this bonnet. I’ve included written directions and 5 different Christmas/Winter themed color charts. I have also filmed an instructional video that may help you with stranded colorwork if you are unfamiliar with it. It is made with DK weight (or light worsted) merino wool yarn and is quick to make and yields satisfying results.

All parts of this bonnet are explained in a video tutorial I filmed. Even if you are intimidated to make this bonnet my step by step instructions should help you through it. As always you can message me and I will do my best to be of great help.

Instructions are given for both working flat and in the round.

Please note: the second pictured bonnet shows a Latvian brain on the brim of the bonnet. This is not instructed in the pattern.
