These Easter eggs are quick and fun to knit and to hang into your Easter tree or around the house. Instructions are written. Colorwork options are charted only.

Skill level: easy.

Techniques used: knit in the round, increase / decrease, stranded colorwork (optional).

Yarn: less than 30 yards of sock yarn (or any other fingering weight yarn) each.

Gauge / size:
With 28 stitches x 40 rows in stockinette one egg is approximately 3” (7.5 cm) high and 5” (13 cm) diameter at largest part. If you want a larger egg use thicker yarn and needles. Gauge must be tight so the stuffing doesn’t show.

Tools / materials: Size US 2 / 2.75 mm DPNs (due to the small number of stitches I wouldn’t recommend magic loop); small amount of polyfiber stuffing; tapestry needle; scissors.
