I designed this tanktop because I wanted a try my hand at doing Fair Isle. I loved the idea of paper dolls but wanted a very narrow chart that wouldn’t involve carrying across long floats. Since I couldn’t find a suitable pattern, I did one myself. So as to keep it simple, the pattern starts off in the round and is put onto straight needles at the armhole divide. By replacing the girl paper dolls row with another row of boy dolls, and losing the pink yarn, this would make an equally nice vest for a boy.
