Inspiration: Frothy seafoam bubbling and dissolving on the pebbles at the tide break always reminds me of delicate holey lace and was the starting point for this design. I am fascinated by the heritage of Gansey bridal shirt patterns and wanted to incorporate some of these traditional fishing community stitches into a modern, wearable boxy shaped cardigan, made lighter for warmer months with open eyelet stitches and knitted in Studio Linen for an elegant drape.

Construction: A shirt style cardigan worked in lace and gansey-inspired stitches with integral button band and shaped shirt collar, open side vents and a contrasting lace stitch back.
