One Size Fairy Wings or perhaps butterfly wings, knit in two pieces and grafted together (or seamed).

One size that can be worn by toddlers to adults.

Finished dimensions with wire, longest points: 52cm x 55 cm (20.5” x 21.5”). Top to bottom center: 25 cm (9.8 “). Left to right center: 37cm (14.5”). Can be sized smaller with a smaller gauge and needles.

MATERIALS
Fingering weight yarn. Wool 80%, Nylon 20% or similar. 193 m (215 yards). Choose 1 or more colors, change at each section if you like to follow color pattern: Color 1 (95 yards), Color 2 (82yrds), Color 3 (38 yrds).
4mm (6 US) needles or needles needed to obtain gauge. Holding needle for one wing as it waits to be grafted. (can cast off and add seam)
Tapestry needle
Colored Duct Tape- matching Color 1 yarn if possible.
Pliers/wire cutter for wire.
Optional: STIFFY solution. By Mod Podge. Or
Wire stiffener: 12- 14 Gauge copper wire (solid, not stranded). Found in Hardware store. Make sure it is nearly as firm as a coat hanger, but easier to manipulate.
Wire used in pattern project was 14 AWG 2, common house wire, solid.
