This shawl starts as a fairly simple top down triangular shawl worked in stockinette… then the fun begins! A leaf lace motif is incorporated into the triangular increases for a wide lace edging. Since the shawl continues to increase in size as you work the lace, additional leaves continue to appear, making this a little more complex to knit. If you know how to yo, k2tog, sl1, and psso you should be able to do this. All directions are clearly written out line by line for the lace.

3/2016: update uploaded with lace transition clarification.
