This pattern uses both side-to-side and bottom-up constructions. The main body is worked side-to-side with a leaf edging worked as you go. Then stitches are picked up and a simple lace mesh pattern forms the yoke. Sleeve stitches are pick-up around armholes and worked top down using short row shaping to create a set in sleeve with no seams. The front is finished by picking up and then immediately binding off stitches to create a narrow cord that creates just a little swing. The yoke mesh doubles as buttonholes for the 3 small buttons used at the top. You will need stitch markers and 3 small buttons to complete this sweater as designed. The size shown is a 42 with no ease.
