Mittens are one of my favourite projects. I love their portability and the number of possibilities they hold, but to be honest one of my favourite things about them is that they’re out in the open where they can be admired. This pair is one of my favourites, I love the spring colours in the midst of autumn.

I used a large number of colours to use up leftovers in my stash, the pattern includes a chart for the original colour combinations as well as the same pattern with four colours, although you would be able to use any number higher than 4. You will need a total of about 265m of yarn.

The mittens fit slightly small, if you would like them to be a ladies’ medium first achieve the gauge recommended then increase needle size by 0.25mm, to make a large increase needle size by 0.5mm.
