My youngest daughter is not a fan of things crocheted but for the past few months that seems to have changed. She came over one day and while sitting in my craft room she started going through all my yarn. She pulled out a couple colors and said “I want a scarf made with these 2 colors.” So, I gave her a couple stitch books to go through to get an idea of what she would like that would work with the yarn (and in this case, crochet thread) she picked out. Blending a modified version of the Maya Mesh stitch pattern with big, beautiful fans resulted in a gorgeous, definitely feminine scarf that can be worn absolutely anytime and anywhere.

I did not specify any specific yarn because there are a number of yarns with good drape that work for this pattern. Pick your favorite #3 or #4 weight.

The center (white) portion was made with worsted weight yarn…in this case, Red Heart Shimmer. The edging was done with 2 strands of crochet thread. Pick your favorite #1 or #2 weight.
