Fanny is a fan stitch and double crochet skirt with a slight flare. The top of the skirt is made of 6 panels of fan stitch alternating with 6 wedges of double crochet. The wedges are what give the skirt the flare. The panels/wedges are made one at a time and connected to their neighbors as they are made, so only one yarn is being worked at a time; no multiple bobbins or skeins being worked at once! The bottom is ringed with alternating bands of double crochet and fan stitch and then finished off with a lacey trim stitch. The panels wedges are made as long as you want, as are the bottom bands (even the number of bands can be changed.) Fanny is see~through in areas due to the fan stitch, wear the skirt over another plain skirt, fitted pants, or whatever makes you happy. A short tutorial on sewing a lining in the skirt is included at the end of the pattern. Line drawings are also included at the end of the pattern to help with color planning. The skirt pictured throughout the pattern is made with 3 colors, plus one more for the bottom trim, but the number of colors used is up to you. Even just one color would be fine. There are many process pictures included to help with pattern clarity.
