I used worsted weight cotton and a 5mm crochet hook, Guage, yarn weight and hook size are not very important though, just pick a suitable hook for your yarn and that will make the pattern fit your particular soap. You could optionally use wool (non-superwash) and the cozy will felt and shrink as the soap does (it won’t be re-usable this way though)
