Pattern fixed and re-uploaded as of 10-18-10. New file name ends in _update2.pdf.
Beginning chain count is now 33.

It is a 4-row repeat pattern.

Regarding the questions about rows 2 and 4, if making 5 chains at the beginning of the row creates holes that are too big for you, by all means, make fewer chains. You are chaining three to get up to the next row and then chaining two to move over to make the first stitch in the proper place. Remember, patterns are a guideline! Adjust as necessary :)

Gauge is not important in this scarf pattern, but my crocheting is a little tighter than the average person, so you might want to go down a hook size to get the more solid fabric of this scarf, it’s up to you. If you want a lacier look, then move up a size or two.

I edged this scarf in a 2-ply wool in the same color, just for a finished edge.

This is my first written pattern so give me feedback! I hope it is clear for you :)
