Faolán (’FWAY-lahn’) is an Irish name meaning ‘little wolf’. The Faolán mitts are a perfect project for men or women for that single skein of DK yarn you couldn’t resist.
They feature a Celtic motif on the back of each hand, and an unusual topdown construction, from the fingertips to the arm, allowing the knitter to choose the perfect length in order to use every last yard of the luscious yarn, or merely to satisfy a stylish whim.

You can see a tutorial for the ‘wrap 4’ instruction on the EastLondonKnit youtube channel. And I chat about the mitts in Episode 16 of the EastLondonKnit Podcast.
