The Farmers’ Market Bag starts at the bottom with casting on in a circle. Then the bottom is worked solid, then the open, stretchy pattern begins. The drawstring closes the top.

The pattern is very forgiving. You can make it as short or tall, wide or narrow as you want. The bag is very stretchy to fit a lot of goods at the farmers’ market or grocery store.

I suggest cotton or some other sturdy yarn. Wool might be too much stretch, but give it a try if you like.

The sample is two-colored because I had two partial balls in my stash.
