Farmer’s Market Socks are fast and fun to knit, in an easy-to-memorize lace pattern suitable for an intermediate sock knitter. The lace is light and open. It works well with any solid, handpainted, striped, or patterned yarn, whatever is in season! They can be knit from the toe-up or the top down, and use the Sweet Tomato Heel developed by Cat Bordhi. The pattern is written for a medium women’s shoe. It can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing 6 stitches at a time The leg length is 6-8”.

Materials:

Any Fingering weight yarn, 100g (400-450yds)
Set of 5, US size 2/2.75mm double pointed needles) or one long circular needle for Magic Loop.

Abbreviations:
K = Knit
P = Purl
K2tog = Knit two stitches together
SSK = Slip two stitches, knit them together through the back loop
YO = Yarn Over, move the yarn from front to back over the needle to increase one stitch
