Farrand is worked in one piece from the bottom up, with sleeves worked in the round. Sleeves and body are joined and worked together, and sleeves are decreased with raglan shaping. The sleeve cable then travels across the shoulders to form the continuous saddle. Front edging is knitted and seamed on.

Cumbria is an excellent yarn for this sweater. it has softness and a little drape, while still remaining toothy enough to provide stability to the cable and saddle shoulder structure. If substituting yarn, be very careful not to select a heavy/dense yarn, or one with too much drape.

Pattern is fully tech edited by Dawn Catanzaro, and includes fully written out stitch patterns, as well as full charts for every shaping a stitch pattern. A schematic with full measurements is also included.
