For ease of knitting, the pattern begins at one end and is worked all in one piece. I designed the headband with an unusual pattern that lends itself well to all-natural fibers nicely. The texture of the farrow rib especially stands out using cotton, hemp or linen yarn.

This pattern is for beginners through intermediate skill level. Row by row instruction for headband with side increases.

You need to know how to:
Knit
Purl
Make one (M1)
Cast on
Bind off

I think the headband looks best using natural fibers. You can use cotton yarn, hemp, linen or a blend of either of these fibers. It could also be knitted using sport weight acrylic or wool yarn.
