Some people have reported running out of yarn for the Medium size. You may want to buy an extra skein to be safe.

A note about the men’s patterns and ease in this book: Most of the sweaters were knit in size M, which is anywhere from a finished chest of 38” (this cardigan) to 41.5” (the embroidered vest). The male models have chest measurements around 35-36”. (Mr. Ski Lodge & The All-American are exceptions; they are knit in sizes S and L/XL, respectively.)

Measurements used to recreate the patterns were taken from the original vintage sweaters, so the fit may be slimmer than modern guys are used to. When in doubt, make the next size up.
