Pattern description from Knitting in America: “Linda says that she is not influenced by colors in nature on a cognitive level, but in an interesting example of inspiration by osmosis, she chose the muted green color for this unisex pullover, then later realized that it matched the sage-brush-swept desert that she saw outside of her front door every day. This rough and tough sweater is made with Brown Sheep Company’s Lamb’s Pride Superwash Bulky (100 percent wool) in a color Brown Sheep calls Lichen. Though it looks cabled, the texture of the sweater is achieved by manipulating knit, purl, and slip stitches only. The pattern appears on page 197.”
