Construction Notes: “This shawl, knit on a garter st ground, has no bound-off edges. It begins with the bottom border, then sts are picked up along the inside edge of the border for the center panel and along the cast-on edge of the border for the right edging. The left and right edgings are knit at the same time as the center panel. The top border is knit last, attaching to the shawl as you go, and its end is grafted to the top of the left edging.”
