Yarns (pictured): Palouse Merino Fine in “Deepening Shadows”; Manos del Uruguay Alegria in “Nobuk.” We used one skein of each for the models (pictured); the 2 skeins were enough for a large cowl and small pair of gloves. If you make a smaller cowl, you should have enough for a larger pair of gloves.

About Feather & Fan: F & F is a reasonably simple, traditional Shetland lace pattern that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. It is a 4 row repeat--in the round, 2 Knit rounds, a Lace round and a Purl Round. It is most generally an 18 st repeat, though for the sake of sizing in the Fingerless Gloves, we modified that count a bit.

F & F is fun to knit, with lots of bounce and life in the finished products, and looks way more complicated than it really is. Hope you enjoy!

PS: we have been very carefully over the pattern and charts. It’s still highly likely that you will find errors or be confused by something. Please don’t hesitate to let us know, by email or phone.

Thanks so much and happy knitting!
