“Fall marks a return to seamless sweaters, the sartorial answer to blankets and afghans. When there’s a chill in the air, we welcome a project that warms us as it grows. Likewise, Feather is a cardigan made for wrapping oneself in. Its generous proportions and drape are belied by the tailored silhouette at the shoulders, where the saddle sleeves and the eased back meet. The wide cable and openwork feather motif adorning the front edges travels all the way to the center back, framing the face.” – Véronik Avery

CONSTRUCTION

  • Cardigan is worked in 3 pieces: Sleeves are worked in the round to the underarms, and Body is worked flat to the armholes. All pieces are then joined and the upper Body is worked in one piece to completion.
  • Pieces are worked from the bottom up.
